Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in respiratory care required.
• Licensed Respiratory Care Practitioner (LRCP) from the State of Nebraska required.
• Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) credential required.
• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential by the NBRC within two years of hire required.
• Demonstrate effective communication skills.
• BLS from an AHA-endorsed program required; ACLS/PALS/NRP may be required by unit.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients and develop effective care plans based on evidence-based guidelines.
• Provide respiratory therapy procedures and modalities across emergent, acute, surgical, chronic and ambulatory care settings.
• Coordinate discharge planning, patient education and collaboration with care teams.
