Job summary

HCA Florida South Shore Hospital is seeking a Respiratory Therapist Supervisor to oversee respiratory care services and shift operations. You will lead the department, ensure standards of practice, and provide safe, high-quality patient care across assigned teams.

This role requires extensive experience in acute care respiratory therapy, active RRT/CRT licensure, and supervisory capabilities, with a focus on compliance, teamwork, and clinical excellence in a busy hospital environment.

Qualifications

• Completion of a two-year accredited respiratory care program.
• Associate Degree or equivalent; Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
• Clear/active Florida licensure: Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) or Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) required upon hire.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) required within 6 months of hire.
• Minimum of five years of clinical respiratory therapy experience in an acute hospital environment.
• One year of supervisory experience.
• Strong communication, critical thinking and service excellence skills.
• Ability to read and follow written and verbal instructions; PC skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and are responsible for the delivery of safe, quality, patient care for assigned departments and staff on a daily basis.
• Ensure department's standards of practice, policies and procedures meet legal and accrediting/regulatory requirements.
• Conduct respiratory assessments of patients as indicated within scope of practice.
• Administer medications and perform various clinical modalities as prescribed by physicians.

Job Summary And Qualifications

Our Respiratory department is a committed, caring group of colleagues. We are currently seeking a Supervisor of Respiratory Therapy and will provide you the tools and resources you need to succeed in our organization. As a Supervisor on our Respiratory team, you will provide supervision for all aspects of Respiratory Care Services and will be responsible for shift operations of the department.

Your duties and responsibilities may include:
