Job summary

Mountain-View-Healthcare-Center in Mountain View, CA seeks a compassionate Respiratory Therapist to provide care for subacute and long-term patients in a skilled nursing setting. The RT will work under physician orders, adhering to facility policies and state regulations.

Responsibilities include administering treatments, monitoring status, managing ventilators, and documenting responses while collaborating with the care team and educating patients and caregivers as needed.

Qualifications

• RRT or CRT accepted.
• BLS required; ACLS preferred if applicable.
• SNF, subacute, or long-term care experience preferred.
• Strong communication and documentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Administer respiratory treatments (neb treatments, oxygen therapy, trach care, suctioning, etc.)
• Monitor and assess patient respiratory status
• Manage ventilators, BiPAP/CPAP, and oxygen delivery systems
• Document treatments and patient responses accurately
• Collaborate with nursing staff and physicians to optimize patient care
• Educate patients and caregivers on respiratory therapies as needed
