Job summary

LCMC Health in New Orleans is seeking a licensed Respiratory Therapist to deliver compassionate, high-quality care in a fast-paced setting. You’ll manage ventilators, perform airway procedures, and educate patients and families to feel informed and safe.

This role requires Louisiana licensure, NBRC credential, BLS/CPR, ACLS and PALS, with a focus on infection control, teamwork, and calm, precise decision making during Code III events. Sign-on and relocation bonuses are available.

Qualifications

• Licensed Respiratory Therapist (Louisiana State Board of Medical Examiners).
• Registered Respiratory Therapist (NBRC).
• Current BLS / CPR (AHA).
• ACLS Certification.
• PALS Certification.

Responsibilities

• Managing ventilators and adjusting settings based on patient needs.
• Performing arterial punctures and assisting with airway management.
• Supporting high‑acuity situations like Code III responses.
• Assessing with bronchoscopies and intubations.
• Delivering therapies (oxygen, aerosol, CPT, IPPB, incentive spirometry, and more).
• Monitoring equipment and ensuring safe, effective operation.
• Educating patients and families so they feel informed and empowered.
• Maintaining strict infection control and safety standards.
• Collaborating with a team that values your insight and expertise.
