Qualifications

• Degree in Respiratory Care from an accredited program or NBRC equivalent.
• Current Respiratory Therapy licensure in state(s) of practice; multi-state licensure where required.
• RRT credential through NBRC and active per credentialing requirements.
• BLS certification; site-specific credentials such as NRP/ACLS/PALS may be required.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients and provide therapeutic interventions for cardiopulmonary and sleep disorders.
• Educate patients and families; participate in care planning and interdisciplinary rounds.
• Monitor patient progress, adjust therapies, and document outcomes using hospital systems.

Education

Associate degree in Respiratory Care

Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) NBRC

Current Respiratory Therapy licensure

Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
