Medical City Dallas is seeking a Respiratory Therapist for a seasonal temp role on night shifts. The contract runs from 9/2/2026 to 4/3/2027, with a rate of $52/hr.

This position involves delivering respiratory care, complying with hospital policies, and may include working with students in the clinical setting. Qualified candidates must hold BCLS within 30 days, and have either RRT/RCP credentials and NBRC certifications (CRT or RRT).

Qualifications

• BCLS must be obtained within 30 days of start date.
• RRT/RCP-State Respiratory Therapist/Practitioner credential required.
• NBRC-CRT or NBRC-RRT credential required.

Job Summary and Qualifications

It is the responsibility of the staff respiratory therapist to demonstrate proficiency in all modalities of Respiratory Care and other multidisciplinary assigned skills as defined by training and competency demonstration. The Respiratory Therapist will be responsible for execution of assignments. All care will be in compliance with hospital and respiratory policies. May work with Respiratory Students in the clinical care setting.

What qualifications you will need:

• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
• (RRT/RCP-State) Respiratory Therapist/Practitioner
• (NBRC-CRT) Certified Respiratory Therapist, or (NBRC-RRT) Registered Respiratory Therapist
• PROGRAM REQUIREMENTS

• All seasonal RNs are required to work a minimum of 72 hours per pay period during the seasonal period.

  Within a close geography, you may be asked to float to another facility that has an emergent staffing need.

  Four (4) weekend shifts are required each 4 week schedule period.

  During the course of the 32-week period, the employee is required to work two (2) holiday shifts (defined by Department Manager or designee).

  Seasonal Staff are PRN status employees and are subject to first call-off. There are no guaranteed hours by the hospital.

  Seasonal Staff willnotbe eligible for extra shift bonuses (D1/CND or D2/ECD)

  Registered Nurses who are in the Seasonal program will have one opportunity to pass the clinical competency evaluation.

  Current FT/PT & PRN employees are not eligibleto join the Seasonal program for 2026--27.

  Current employees of HWS arenot eligiblefor the seasonal program.

  Shifts may vary based on the needs of the department.
