Job summary

Medical City Dallas is seeking a Respiratory Therapist for a seasonal, night-shift assignment from 9/2/2026 to 4/3/2027. The role requires proficiency in all modalities of Respiratory Care and adherence to hospital policies.

The position offers competitive compensation at $52 per hour and may involve floating within a close geography; benefits and a strong support network are provided through HCA Healthcare's programs. Seasonal staff are PRN with no guaranteed hours.

Qualifications

• Active BLS must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
• RRT/RCP-State license to practice Respiratory Therapy.
• NBRC-CRT or NBRC-RRT certification required.
• Seasonal staff are PRN and may float to nearby facilities.
• Four weekend shifts required every 4 weeks.
• Two holiday shifts during the 32-week period.
• No guaranteed hours.
• May be required to pass clinical competency evaluation.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate proficiency in all modalities of Respiratory Care.
• Execute assignments in compliance with hospital policies and respiratory policies.
• May work with Respiratory Students in the clinical care setting.

This position is for Night Shifts

Rate is $52/HR

Job Summary and Qualifications

It is the responsibility of the staff respiratory therapist to demonstrate proficiency in all modalities of Respiratory Care and other multidisciplinary assigned skills as defined by training and competency demonstration. The Respiratory Therapist will be responsible for execution of assignments. All care will be in compliance with hospital and respiratory policies. May work with Respiratory Students in the clinical care setting.

What qualifications you will need:

• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
• (RRT/RCP-State) Respiratory Therapist/Practitioner
• (NBRC-CRT) Certified Respiratory Therapist, or (NBRC-RRT) Registered Respiratory Therapist
• PROGRAM REQUIREMENTS

• All seasonal RNs are required to work a minimum of 72 hours per pay period during the seasonal period.

  Within a close geography, you may be asked to float to another facility that has an emergent staffing need.

  Four (4) weekend shifts are required each 4 week schedule period.

  During the course of the 32-week period, the employee is required to work two (2) holiday shifts (defined by Department Manager or designee).

  Seasonal Staff are PRN status employees and are subject to first call-off. There are no guaranteed hours by the hospital.

  Seasonal Staff willnotbe eligible for extra shift bonuses (D1/CND or D2/ECD)

  Registered Nurses who are in the Seasonal program will have one opportunity to pass the clinical competency evaluation.

  Current FT/PT & PRN employees are not eligibleto join the Seasonal program for 2026--27.

  Current employees of HWS arenot eligiblefor the seasonal program.

  Shifts may vary based on the needs of the department.
