Hospital Details

Vibra Specialty Hospital of Portland, located in Portland, OR, is a 65-bed Critical Care Hospital providing acute care services to patients recovering from serious illnesses or injuries. Our patients often require additional critical care services for complex conditions such as trauma, infectious diseases, wound healing, cardiovascular disease, stroke, amputation, and ventilator weaning. As a smaller, specialized hospital, we offer a fast-paced and friendly environment where you can truly get to know your patients and their families.

Responsibilities

1. Provide efficient, quality-oriented patient care within the department's policies and procedures.
2. Perform support activities such as equipment maintenance, inventory management, and setup.
3. Operate various respiratory care equipment for diagnosis and treatment of respiratory diseases or illnesses.

Required Skills

• Graduate of a Respiratory Therapy program.
• Current, valid license to practice as a Registered or Certified Respiratory Therapist in the state of employment.
• Current BLS certification from a Vibra-approved vendor.
• ACLS certification from a Vibra-approved vendor within six months of hire.

Additional Qualifications/Skills

• One year of critical care or artificial airway and ventilator care experience preferred.
• Professional appearance and knowledge of regulatory standards.
• Strong organizational, prioritization, and analytical skills.
• Ability to make independent decisions.
• Working knowledge of relevant computer applications.
• Freedom from illegal drug use and effects of substance abuse.
