Role Responsibilities:

• Maintain knowledge of oxygen delivery methods and equipment, assessing for side effects.
• Administer respiratory treatments, understanding their purposes and potential side effects.
• Set up and monitor mechanical ventilators, including airway management and tracheal suctioning.
• Assess patient pain levels impacting rehabilitation participation and communicate with physicians for intervention.
• Perform arterial punctures for blood gas analysis, understanding associated risks and contraindications.

Qualifications:

• Current State Respiratory Therapist Licensure
• Graduate of an AMA-approved School of Respiratory Therapy
• Current CPR certification (specify BLS or ACLS)
• Three or more years of experience in cardiopulmonary services preferred
