Position: Respiratory Therapist (RT) – Per Diem Days (7am - 7:30pm)

Pay Rate: $42.00

Responsibilities

Position Summary:

Performs basic and advanced respiratory therapeutic procedures as outlined by the State Department of Health and within the scope of respiratory care services. Transcribes and implements physician orders accurately and promptly. Uses oxygen assessment skills and patient data to coordinate care needs effectively.

Key Duties:

• Performs advanced life support procedures, including tracheal intubation, coordinating with physicians, nursing, and staff.
• Collaborates with physicians to develop and adjust therapy plans based on patient needs.
• Initiates weaning procedures for ventilated patients under physician guidance.
• Performs routine and emergent trach care, including tube changes.
• Monitors respiratory status using bedside assessments, maintaining awareness of pH/electrolyte balance, ABG values, and other relevant functions.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

• Active credential from the National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC) or equivalent
• Current state licensure
• ACLS certification upon hire
• Preferred: 1 year of related experience
