Job summary

The Beach Post-Acute in Long Beach, CA is seeking a Respiratory Therapist to join our clinical team. The RT will evaluate, treat and care for residents with respiratory or cardiopulmonary disorders and will perform therapies and diagnostics per established policies.

Responsibilities include administering IPPB, aerosol therapies, pulmonary tests, and maintaining equipment, while supporting code blue responses. CA license with BLS/ACLS/CPR is required and SNF experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• CA-licensed Respiratory Therapist (RRT/RCP) active in CA.
• BLS/ACLS/CPR certifications required or current.
• Experience in skilled nursing facility setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate, treat and care for patients with respiratory or pulmonary disorders.
• Perform therapies and diagnostic procedures as prescribed by the clinical team.
• Maintain, test and operate respiratory therapy equipment and document care.
• Respond to code blue calls and assist with airway management and CPR.

We are on the search for an RT to join the team! The RT will be responsible for creating and implementing appropriate care plans along with the RT Lead and clinical team.

Pay Range:

• $30-36/hour Depending on Experience

Overview of the Position:

• The RT will evaluate, treat, and care for patients with breathing or other cardiopulmonary disorders. As the RT, you will be assuming primary responsibility for all respiratory care therapeutic treatments and diagnostic procedures.
• Assesses patients and recommends respiratory therapy treatments
• Plans, prepares and administers treatments including IPPB, aerosol, chest physical therapy, incentive spirometry, and sputum inductions, in accordance with established policies and procedures
• Performs diagnostic pulmonary and cardiac tests
• Inspects, tests, maintains and operates respiratory therapy equipment
• Responds to "code blue" calls and assist by maintaining the patient’s airway and performs CPR
• Patient care documentation is timely, legible, and efficient.

Qualifications:

• RRT/RCP License active in CA
• Skilled Nursing Facility strongly preferred
• BLS/ACLS/CPR
