Job summary

Trinity Health is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist to provide ventilator care, aerosolized medications, arterial blood gas collection, education and supervision of respiratory therapy students. You will conduct bedside assessments and support physicians with respiratory care questions.

Responsibilities include performing respiratory and cardiac diagnostics such as EKGs and pulmonary function tests, maintaining records, and ensuring infection control and equipment sterilization as part

Qualifications

• Licensure by the State of Michigan as a Respiratory Therapist.
• Registered by the National Board for Respiratory Care; if CRT, obtain RRT within 6 months.
• Current Basic Life Support; ACLS preferred.

Responsibilities

• Familiar with respiratory therapeutics and their actions and side effects.
• Comply with policies on incomplete orders, therapy medications, adverse reactions and safety.
• Perform respiratory and cardiac diagnostic studies for patients of all ages.
• Maintain accurate and complete medical records.
• Disinfect and sterilize equipment.
