Job Summary and Qualifications

As a Respiratory Therapist, you will coordinate and deliver high-quality, patient-centered respiratory care per department standards and scope of practice. You will perform diagnostic tests, therapeutic procedures, and monitor patients on invasive and noninvasive ventilation.

What you will do in this role:

• Perform and document patient assessments, including breath sounds, airway patency, and cuff pressure, and conduct diagnostic procedures.
• Administer respiratory therapies such as oxygen, aerosols, and chest physiotherapy.
• Assist with artificial airway placement and manage mechanical ventilation.
• Monitor patient responses and notify providers of any issues.
• Assist with transport of ventilator-dependent patients.
• Respond to emergencies, ensuring airway integrity and ventilation during resuscitation.

Qualifications needed:

• Associate Degree in Respiratory Therapy or Vocational School Graduate
• State Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)
• BCLS certification within 30 days of employment
• ACLS, PALS, and NRP certifications within 90 days of employment
