Job summary

South Baldwin Medical Group seeks a Respiratory Therapist (RRT) to support acute care patients across shifts. You will administer advanced respiratory treatments, perform ABG punctures, monitor responses, and document care in the EMR while following physician orders.

You will work with a multidisciplinary team to ensure patient safety, adherence to protocols, and timely communication with leaders and families.

Qualifications

• RRT certification is required.
• 1–3 years of acute care respiratory experience preferred.
• Active ACLS and PALS certifications required; NICU certifications (NRP/STABLE) if applicable.

Responsibilities

• Administers advanced respiratory treatments, assesses patient responses, and documents outcomes.
• Performs ABG punctures and reports results promptly.
• Assists physicians with bedside procedures and ventilation management.
• Follows protocols to ensure safety and regulatory compliance.
• Maintains equipment cleanliness and proper PPE usage.
• Communicates effectively with the care team and families.
