Rehabilitation Hospital of Oak Creek, part of Lifepoint Health®, is opening a brand-new hospital in 2026 and seeking a Respiratory Therapist for a part-time, 20-hour work week on-site in Oak Creek, WI. You will deliver cardiopulmonary care, monitor ventilators, and collaborate with physicians to optimize patient outcomes.

Qualifications include state licensure, AMA-approved program, CPR certification, and 3+ years in cardiopulmonary services.

Qualifications

• Current State Respiratory Therapist Licensure.
• Graduate of an AMA-approved School of Respiratory Therapy.
• Current CPR certification.
• Three (3) or more years of previous experience in all aspects of cardiopulmonary services highly preferred.

Responsabilités

• Maintains knowledge of oxygen delivery methods and equipment.
• Administers respiratory therapy treatments and monitors for side effects.
• Sets up and monitors mechanical ventilators and related care duties.
• Assess patient pain and coordinate with physicians as needed.
• Perform arterial punctures for blood gas analysis and manage potential complications.

Rehabilitation Hospital of Oak Creek is a brand-new 40 bed inpatient rehabilitation facility opening in 2026. We offer high-quality, compassionate care for a wide variety of patients in need. We strive to maximize the health, function, and quality of life of those we serve through comprehensive physical medicine and rehabilitation programs.

How You'll Contribute

• Maintains knowledge of the various methods of oxygen delivery, including the necessary equipment. Remains alert to assess possible side effects to oxygen delivery.
• Administers respiratory therapy treatments, understands the purpose of each and the possible side effects associated with each.
• Sets-up and monitors mechanical ventilators and the associated critical care duties required for such treatment, such as airway management and tracheal suctioning.
• Able to assess patient pain interfering with optimal level of function or participation in rehabilitation. Makes appropriate physician contact for intervention.
• Performs arterial punctures to obtain arterial blood samples for blood gas analysis, and understands the possible complications and contraindications associated with the procedure.

What We're Looking For

• Current State Respiratory Therapist Licensure.
• Graduate of an AMA-approved School of Respiratory Therapy.
• Current CPR certification. (Specify if BLS or ACLS)
• Three (3) or more years of previous experience in all aspects of cardiopulmonary services highly preferred.
