Qualifications

• Requires Associate's Degree in Respiratory Care.
• Licensed by Tennessee Board of Respiratory Care.
• Basic Life Support certification (AHA).
• National board certification in Respiratory Care.

Responsibilities

• Performs routine respiratory therapy procedures including IPPB, O2 therapy, and humidity/aerosol therapy in an assigned area on patients.
• Establishes and maintains ventilation and airway care with ventilatory support.
• Assists physician with invasive airway procedures when needed.
• Performs arterial blood gas collection and patient assessment.
• Educates staff and serves as a resource on respiratory care procedures.
