Job summary

American Advanced Management seeks a Respiratory Care Practitioner in Baton Rouge, LA to deliver cardio-pulmonary services in accordance with the State Respiratory Care Practice Act and hospital policies.

You will administer pharmacological and diagnostic/therapeutic agents, uphold aseptic techniques, and support pulmonary rehabilitation and diagnostic regimens prescribed by a physician.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an AMA-approved School of Respiratory Care.
• Current NBRC credential (CRT, RRT).
• Current and valid State Respiratory Care Licensure.
• Excellent communication, customer service, organizational, prioritizing, and critical thinking skills.
• Must be able to read, write, and speak English.
• Sufficient hearing, vision and dexterity to perform duties safely.

Responsibilities

• Provide cardio-pulmonary services per the State Practice Act and hospital policies.
• Administer pharmacological and diagnostic/therapeutic agents related to cardio-pulmonary procedures.
• Maintain safe and aseptic technique in all procedures.
• Support disease prevention, pulmonary rehabilitation, and diagnostic regimens prescribed by a physician.

The Respiratory Care Practitioner may administer and perform those direct and indirect cardio-pulmonary services, including but not limited to, the administration of pharmacological and diagnostic and therapeutic agents related to cardio-pulmonary procedures necessary to implement a treatment, disease prevention pulmonary rehabilitation, and diagnostic regimen prescribed by a physician using safe and aseptic techniques.
