Qualifications

• Current Respiratory Therapist (RT/RRT) license or credential as required by the state.
• Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Therapy program.
• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential preferred or required.
• Previous respiratory therapy experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess and monitor patients' respiratory status and oxygen needs.
• Administer oxygen therapy, nebulizer treatments, and respiratory medications.
• Manage mechanical ventilation and monitor ventilator settings.
• Perform airway management, suctioning, and other respiratory procedures.
• Assist with intubation, extubation, and emergency respiratory interventions.
• Perform diagnostic testing such as arterial blood gases and pulmonary function testing as required.
• Monitor patient response to treatment and report changes promptly.
• Educate patients and families on respiratory care and equipment.
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.
