Job summary

Qualifications

Job Description

The Certified Respiratory Therapist or Registered Respiratory Therapist will participate in the assessment, administration, and evaluation of respiratory therapy treatments for critical adult, pediatric, and neonatal patients. Responsibilities include performing pulmonary function testing, extubations, airway management, and ventilatory life support. The candidate will also provide instruction to patients on the use of respiratory therapy equipment and therapies related to respiratory wellness.

Responsibilities

• Participate in obtaining, interpreting, and evaluating pulmonary function tests and arterial blood gases.
• Administer respiratory treatments and manage airway for critical patients.
• Provide patient education regarding inhalation gases and respiratory equipment.
• Ensure cleaning, care, and maintenance of respiratory therapy equipment.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Experience

Two years of experience as a certified Respiratory Therapist.

Certifications/Licensure

• Credentialed by the NBRC as a Certified Respiratory Therapist or Registered Respiratory Therapist at the time of hire.
• Current BLS certification is required.
