Job summary

CHI Mercy Health in Roseburg, Oregon is seeking a Respiratory Therapist to join an established team delivering specialized cardiopulmonary care to patients with breathing issues. You will administer treatments from breathing techniques and nebulizers to ventilator management, oxygen therapies, and external ventilation support.

Your assessment skills and clinical judgment will drive effective care plans, with calm, decisive action in routine and emergent situations.

Qualifications

Associates Degree in Respiratory Therapy required.
Registered Respiratory Therapist required.
Oregon Respiratory Care License required.
BLS within 30 days; ACLS, PALS, NRP within 60 days.
Bachelor's Degree in Respiratory Therapy preferred.

Responsibilities

Interview patient and family to obtain information about home environment, health and psychosocial history.
Reads prescriptions, reviews patient information, and assesses patient condition, to administer respiratory therapy.
Observes, inspects and tests respiratory therapy equipment.
Cleans, disinfects, and sterilizes equipment.
Sets up and operates devices such as mechanical ventilators, therapeutic gas administration apparatus, environmental control systems, and aerosol generators.
