Job summary

CHI Mercy Health in Roseburg, Oregon is seeking a Respiratory Therapist to join an established team delivering specialized cardiopulmonary care to patients with breathing issues. You will administer treatments from breathing techniques and nebulizers to ventilator management, oxygen therapies, and external ventilation support.

Your assessment skills and clinical judgment will drive effective care plans, with calm, decisive action in routine and emergent situations.

Qualifications

• Associates Degree in Respiratory Therapy required.
• Registered Respiratory Therapist required.
• Oregon Respiratory Care License required.
• BLS within 30 days; ACLS, PALS, NRP within 60 days.
• Bachelor's Degree in Respiratory Therapy preferred.

Responsibilities

• Interview patient and family to obtain information about home environment, health and psychosocial history.
• Reads prescriptions, reviews patient information, and assesses patient condition, to administer respiratory therapy.
• Observes, inspects and tests respiratory therapy equipment.
• Cleans, disinfects, and sterilizes equipment.
• Sets up and operates devices such as mechanical ventilators, therapeutic gas administration apparatus, environmental control systems, and aerosol generators.

Job Summary and Responsibilities

As a Respiratory Therapist, you will join an established team of RTs who share your passion for delivering highly specialized cardiopulmonary care to patients experiencing breathing issues. You'll be instrumental in providing a range of treatments from breathing techniques and nebulizer treatments to ventilator management, oxygen therapies, and external ventilation support.

Every day you will apply your keen assessment skills and critical thinking to manage diverse patient needs, develop and execute effective care plans, and ensure calm, focused intervention in both routine and emergent situations.

Pay Range

$40.10 - $52.26 /hour
