Job summary

The Paramount at Somers Rehabilitation and Nursing Center is seeking a skilled Respiratory Therapist to join our long-term care team. You will assess, diagnose, and treat patients with cardio-pulmonary and respiratory conditions in a skilled nursing setting, coordinating with nurses and physicians to provide comprehensive care.

Responsibilities include developing treatment plans, documentation, and participating in continuous education to maintain licensure and professional standards.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited program for Respiratory Therapy is preferred.
• Must possess and maintain a current license in the state of practice.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required.
• Demonstrated leadership and ability to work with interdisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

• Develops and maintains systems to enhance the facility’s reputation in respiratory therapy.
• Oversee regulatory compliance, documentation, and interdepartmental collaboration.
• Manage clinical documentation, data entry accuracy, and billing alignment.
• Provide patient treatments and develop plans in collaboration with physicians and staff.
• Maintain safety practices and ensure appropriate equipment operation.
