Job Summary and Qualifications

The Respiratory Therapist coordinates and delivers patient-centered respiratory care, performs diagnostic tests, therapeutic procedures, and monitors patients on mechanical ventilation. Responsibilities include patient assessment, administering therapies, assisting with airway placement, initiating and monitoring ventilation, and responding to emergencies.

Qualifications include:
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) within 30 days of start date
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) within 30 days
  • Neonate Resuscitation within 90 days
  • PALS Pediatric Advanced Life Support within 90 days
  • RRT/Respiratory Care Practitioner (RRT/RCP) certification
  • State Registered Respiratory Therapist
  • Associate Degree
