Job summary

Education

Requires knowledge of anatomy, physiology, microbiology, pulmonary physics, pulmonary physiology, advanced respiratory care, mathematics, blood chemistry and pharmacology at a level generally acquired through completion of two-year AMA approved program in respiratory therapy. Must be registered (RRT). Must have current Alabama respiratory license.

Experience

Approximately six to twelve months of progressively more responsible related work experience necessary to gain complete understanding of respiratory therapy principles and procedures to provide assistance in resolution of difficult work-related problems. Completes initial and annual competencies and assists with other staff members

Additional Skills/Abilities

Recommend being certified in ACLS, PALS, and CPR.
