Clara Maass Medical Center is seeking a Respiratory Therapist Reg to provide adult respiratory care for inpatients and outpatients, including therapeutic and diagnostic procedures, invasive support, and ventilator management during the night shift in the Respiratory Care department.

Job Overview

The primary function of a Respiratory Therapist is to provide respiratory care to a variety of inpatients and outpatients. The scope of duty includes therapeutic, diagnostic, educational and invasive procedures for adults.

Qualifications

• Registered Respiratory Therapist
• Current NJ Respiratory license
• RRT/CRT (Required).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification required.
• CRT

Essential Functions

Helps patient accomplish treatment plan and, supports life by administering inhalants, and operating mechanical ventilators. Therapeutic gas administration apparatus, environmental control systems, and aerosol generators. Administers respiratory therapy treatments by performing bronchopulmonary drainage. Assisting with breathing exercises; monitoring physiological responses to therapy, such as vital signs, arterial blood gases, and blood chemistry changes; and directing treatments given by aides, technicians, and assistants.
