Qualifications

• Must be certified or licensed in the state where the hospital resides to practice respiratory care.
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required.
• Blood gas licensure required if employed in the state of Nevada.
• High school diploma required, preferably an associate degree.
• Minimum of one year of clinical respiratory care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs routine respiratory therapy, diagnostic and emergency cardiopulmonary procedures.
• Maintains all respiratory care equipment in working order.
• Provides phlebotomy and basic laboratory testing for patients as required or requested.

The Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) performs routine therapy, diagnostic and emergency cardiopulmonary procedures for patients in PAM Health hospitals and maintains all equipment in working order. Provides phlebotomy and basic laboratory testing for the patient population as required or requested.

Requires one weekend and one holiday.

• Education and Training: Must be certified or licensed in the state where the hospital resides to practice respiratory care. Must possess and maintain current BLS and ACLS certification. Blood gas licensure required if employed in the state of Nevada. For hospitals that perform arterial punctures and/or run blood gases, at least a high school diploma is required, preferably an associate degree.
• Experience: Minimum of one-year clinical respiratory experience preferred.
