Job summary

PAM Health Specialty Hospital of Heritage Valley is seeking a Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) to provide routine therapy, diagnostic and emergency cardiopulmonary procedures for an inpatient population. The RCP will ensure equipment is maintained and may perform phlebotomy and basic lab testing as required.

Qualifications include state licensure, current BLS and ACLS, and a minimum of one year of clinical respiratory experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Must be certified or licensed in the state where the hospital resides to practice respiratory care.
• Must possess and maintain current BLS and ACLS certification.
• Blood gas licensure required if employed in the state of Nevada.
• High school diploma required; an associate degree is preferred.
• Minimum of one year of clinical respiratory experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs routine therapy, diagnostic and emergency cardiopulmonary procedures.
• Maintains all equipment in working order.
• Provides phlebotomy and basic laboratory testing as required.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

The Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) performs routine therapy, diagnostic and emergency cardiopulmonary procedures for patients in PAM Health hospitals and maintains all equipment in working order. Provides phlebotomy and basic laboratory testing for the patient population as required or requested. Performs other related duties as assigned or requested.

• Education and Training: Must be certified or licensed in the state where the hospital resides to practice respiratory care. Must possess and maintain current BLS and ACLS certification. Blood gas licensure required if employed in the state of Nevada. For hospitals that perform arterial punctures and/or run blood gases, at least a high school diploma is required, preferably an associate degree.
• Experience: Minimum of one-year clinical respiratory experience preferred.
