Job summary

Golden Sonora Care Center is seeking a Respiratory Therapist (RCP) to join our skilled nursing care team. The role emphasizes clinical expertise in respiratory therapy, critical care, and patient assessment to improve recovery outcomes.

Ideal candidates bring at least 3 years of experience, an associate degree, and CA RCP licensure with CPR/BLS and ACLS certifications. On-site position with a collaborative, compassionate team. Competitive compensation offered.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years' experience as a Respiratory Therapist.
• Associate degree from an accredited school required.
• California RCP license and current CPR/BLS and ACLS certifications.

Responsibilities

• Follow supervisor schedule and established policies and procedures.
• Adhere to community policies and procedures.
• Perform focused interviews to identify patients' needs.
• Assess signs and symptoms indicating changes in the patient’s condition.
• Collect, analyze, and interpret data and inform care decisions.
• Plan for outcomes of care for assigned patients.
• Perform interventions according to priorities and plan of care.
• Follow emergency, safety, and infection control procedures.
• Promote good interpersonal communications.
• Report changes in respiratory status to the care team.

Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Respiratory Therapist to join our skilled nursing healthcare team. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in respiratory therapy, critical care, and patient assessment, with a strong commitment to delivering high-quality respiratory support and patient care. Responsibilities

• Receive and follow schedule/instructions from your supervisor and as outlined in our established policies and procedures.
• Adhere to established policies and procedures of the community to which the position is assigned.
• Perform focused interviews to identify specific patients’ needs.
• Assess signs and symptoms indicating physiological and psychosocial changes in the patient’s condition.
• Collect, analyze, and interpret data and information from healthcare members and documents actual and/or potential diagnoses.
• Plan for outcomes of care for assigned patients.
• Perform interventions according to identified priorities, plan of care, and company policies and patient care outcome standards.
• Follow emergency, safety, and infection control procedures of the community to which the position is assigned.
• Promote and participate in activities to facilitate good interpersonal communications.
• Report and document changes in the patient’s respiratory status to the Physician, Nurse, and others responsible for oversight of patient care, prior to exiting the community.

Experience

• Minimum 3 years' experience as a Respiratory Therapist
• Minimum of associate degree from an accredited school
• Graduate of a respiratory care program required
• Bachelor of Science degree in the healthcare field preferred
• Current Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) license for California
• Must hold a current CPR/BLS and ACLS certification
