Job summary

Golden Sonora Care Center in Sonora, CA is seeking a dedicated Respiratory Therapist (RCP) to join our skilled nursing team. This role requires strong assessment skills, critical care experience, and a commitment to high‑quality patient care.

Relocation is available, and candidates must have at least 3 years of RCP experience, CA license, and CPR/BLS and ACLS certifications. A steady, compassionate approach will support patient recovery and safety.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of experience as a Respiratory Therapist.
• Associate degree from an accredited school.
• Graduate of a respiratory care program required.
• Bachelor of Science degree in the healthcare field preferred.
• Current Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) license for California.
• Must hold a CPR/BLS and ACLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Receive and follow schedule/instructions from supervisor and policies.
• Adhere to established community policies and procedures.
• Perform focused interviews to identify patient needs.
• Assess signs and symptoms indicating changes in patient condition.
• Collect, analyze, and interpret data from healthcare team.
• Plan for outcomes of care for assigned patients.
• Perform interventions according to priorities and plan of care.
• Follow emergency, safety, and infection control procedures.
• Promote good interpersonal communications.
• Report and document changes in respiratory status to Physician, Nurse, and care oversight.

Education

Associate degree in Respiratory Care

Graduate of a respiratory care program

Bachelor of Science in healthcare (preferred)

RCP license California

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Respiratory Therapist to join our skilled nursing healthcare team. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in respiratory therapy, critical care, and patient assessment, with a strong commitment to delivering high-quality respiratory support and patient care. Responsibilities

• Receive and follow schedule/instructions from your supervisor and as outlined in our established policies and procedures.
• Adhere to established policies and procedures of the community to which the position is assigned.
• Perform focused interviews to identify specific patients’ needs.
• Assess signs and symptoms indicating physiological and psychosocial changes in the patient’s condition.
• Collect, analyze, and interpret data and information from healthcare members and documents actual and/or potential diagnoses.
• Plan for outcomes of care for assigned patients.
• Perform interventions according to identified priorities, plan of care, and company policies and patient care outcome standards.
• Follow emergency, safety, and infection control procedures of the community to which the position is assigned.
• Promote and participate in activities to facilitate good interpersonal communications.
• Report and document changes in the patient’s respiratory status to the Physician, Nurse, and others responsible for oversight of patient care, prior to exiting the community.

Experience

• Minimum 3 years' experience as a Respiratory Therapist
• Minimum of associate degree from an accredited school
• Graduate of a respiratory care program required
• Bachelor of Science degree in the healthcare field preferred
• Current Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) license for California
• Must hold a current CPR/BLS and ACLS certification
