Job summary

Mercy is seeking a Respiratory Care professional to provide direct patient care and consult with physicians on therapy effectiveness. The role serves as an advanced resource for the care team and performs assigned duties in accordance with physician orders.

Must graduate from a CoArc approved program, hold an RCP license, and possess an NBRC RRT credential. ACLS encouraged; PALS required for ER staff where applicable. Mercy offers comprehensive benefits as part of a caring team.

Qualifications

• ACLS preferred.

Job Profile Summary

Position Details:

Qualifications
Education: Graduate of CoArc approved Respiratory Care program.
Licensure: Meets state licensure requirements and has a current Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) license.
Experience: None.
Certifications: Hold the Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential awarded by the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC). For co-workers who work in the Emergency Room PALS is required.
Other: Physical demands are attached plus push, pull, and grip up to 50 lbs. Plus, pinch up to 10 lbs., kneel, crouch, and crawl minimally. Equipment Used: All appropriate respiratory care devices.
Preferred Education: Acute Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
Preferred Experience: Prefer critical care experience.
