Essential Duties:

This Respiratory Therapist PRN is responsible for patients with respiratory and respiratory-related equipment. The role includes assessing patient needs, selecting, instructing, troubleshooting equipment or services, and maintaining documentation.

Responsibilities:

• Receive and document orders for respiratory equipment and services from customers, patients, caregivers, physicians, or family members.
• Gather additional information or documentation needed from insurance providers or physicians.
• Assess patient needs and determine the appropriate respiratory therapy or services.
• Instruct and educate patients, families, and caregivers on the proper use and care of respiratory equipment, following company policies and procedures.
• Communicate with physicians regarding changes in patient condition or needs and adjust the Plan of Care accordingly.
• Complete patient paperwork, including Plans of Care and assessments.
• Act as liaison between SuperCare Health, patients, families, caregivers, and physicians.
• Take responsibility for personal actions, professional skills, and attitudes.
• Follow all policies and procedures outlined by JCAHO.
• Conduct follow-up visits for respiratory patients and assist in continuity of care as needed.
• Provide 24/7 on-call service as scheduled.
• Set up respiratory equipment within scheduled times to ensure patient satisfaction.
• Assist marketing and other departments as necessary.
• Demonstrate professionalism, courtesy, patience, and timeliness when dealing with patients.
• Support SuperCare Health by maintaining loyalty and communicating concerns or problems.
• Adhere to all company policies.
• Stay informed about all products and maintain a professional, safe, and clean work environment.

Education and Work Experience:

• Graduate from an accredited RT Care Program (licensed RCP).
• Experience as a Respiratory Therapist PRN.
• Thorough knowledge and skills in respiratory care.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• People-sensitive characteristics with a genuine desire to help others.
• Detail-oriented.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Employment is contingent upon satisfactory completion of background checks, reference checks, driving record (if applicable), pre-employment drug screening, and TB tests.
