Job summary

Select Specialty Hospital is seeking a Respiratory Therapist for PRN night shifts at the St. Louis North location. You’ll evaluate patients, deliver respiratory care, and support critical care needs in a high-volume hospital setting.

Qualifications

• Active NBRC CRT or RRT credential required by NBRC or state equivalent.
• BLS certification must be current by start date.
• ACLS required upon hire; agency RT must have ACLS on first shift.
• Current state licensure required to practice Respiratory Therapy.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients and recommend an appropriate treatment plan.
• Provide respiratory care to patients with critical and complex medical and surgical conditions.
• Perform insertion and removal of endotracheal tubes.
• Promote continuous quality improvement.
• Teach and counsel patients and families.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Minimum requirements:

• Must possess \"Active\" CRT or RRT credential from the National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC) or state equivalent.
• Proof of graduation required: college transcript/diploma (preferred) or high school transcript/diploma or GED
• Possess a Basic Life Support (BLS) certification by start date.
• Current state licensure is required.
• ACLS is required upon hire. (Agency RT must have ACLS upon first shift)

Preferred qualifications:

• One (1) year of related experience is preferred.
