Summary and Responsibilities

We seek qualified Respiratory Therapists (RRT / CRT / RN) to educate, train, and monitor patients using ventilators, PAP therapy, home oxygen, and other respiratory equipment. You will assess patient needs, communicate findings to physicians, and ensure personalized, quality care.

This PRN position allows you to create your own schedule by accepting a set number of service appointments weekly, paid per set-up ($5.00 - $100.00).

Essential Duties

• Maintain a current list of respiratory patients.
• Provide initial and ongoing phone contact and in-home visits per policy.
• Conduct patient assessments, including history, physical exams, and diagnostics.
• Educate patients on equipment use, compliance, and potential side effects.
• Set up and monitor high-tech respiratory equipment.
• Document all services as per policies.
• Participate in on-call responsibilities for phone consultations.
• Support training of other personnel as directed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Credentials as RRT/CRT preferred; other medical credentials may be acceptable.
• Must be licensed as required by state law.
• Background checks and valid driver’s license required.

Skills and Abilities

• Strong communication skills in English.
• Ability to perform mathematical calculations and interpret communications.
• Maintain confidentiality and work independently or as part of a team.
• Proficient with email, internet, and MS Office applications.

Physical Demands

• Lift and carry equipment, sometimes with patient contact.
• Close vision for paperwork and computer work.
• Exposure to contagious pathogens; require compliance with safety policies.
