Research Medical Center is seeking a Respiratory Therapist (CRT) to deliver diagnostic and therapeutic respiratory care across birth to geriatric populations under physician orders.

You will administer gases and aerosols, monitor patient responses, document care, and maintain equipment with strict infection control. ACLS/BCLS compliance is required, and NBRC-CRT/CRT-State or RRT-State credentials or degree are needed.

Qualifications

• ACLS must be obtained within 6 months of employment start date.
• BCLS must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
• NBRC-CRT certification or CRT-State/RRT-State required, or equivalent degree.

Responsabilités

Job Summary and Qualifications

Under the general direction of the Director/Supervisor or designee, performs diagnostic and therapeutic procedures ordered by a physician. Duties include medical gas administration, aerosol therapy, obtaining and analyzing blood specimens, performing patient testing, operating and maintaining various types of respiratory and cardiopulmonary equipment, assisting with cardiopulmonary resuscitation, providing patient education, monitoring equipment and patient response to therapy. Additional responsibilities include completing patient documentation in the patient and departmental records, to include all computer based documentation. Cleaning equipment and maintaining safety and infection control practices. Accepting other job responsibilities as deemed reasonable by the Director/Supervisor or designee. In this position, the RCP will NOT be providing mechanical ventilation or maintaining artificial airways until they have successfully completed and graduated from their Respiratory Therapy program. The employee will provide care for birth to pediatric, pediatric/child patients between 1 to 11 years of age; adolescent patients between 12 to 17 years of age; adult patients between 18 to 64 years; and geriatric patients 65 years and older.

What qualifications you will need:

• Advanced Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 6 months of employment start date
• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
• (NBRC-CRT) Certified Respiratory Therapist
• (CRT-State) Certified Respiratory Therapist, or (RRT/RCP-State) Respiratory Therapist/Practitioner, or Associate Degree, or Bachelors Degree
