Schedule : PRN (6:30 a.m. - 7 p.m.; 6:30 p.m. - 7 a.m.)
This posting will be used to fill multiple positions.
The Respiratory Therapist (RRT) works under physician direction and supervision of the Respiratory Care Clinical Team Manager. They provide quality patient care, promote a healthy work environment, and project a positive image for UAMS Medical Center.
PRN staff are not eligible for benefits but may contribute to pretax supplemental retirement.
Qualifications : Required :
- High School diploma plus 2 years of direct respiratory care experience OR an Associate's degree in Respiratory Care.
- Must be a CRT or RRT
- Must hold a current Arkansas Licensed Respiratory Care Practitioner (LRCP)
- Current National Board of Respiratory Care Credential
- BLS certification
Preferred :
- Bachelor's degree in Respiratory Care
- ACLS certification
- Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)
Responsibilities :
- Calls for or physically moves equipment and supplies needed in the work area.
- Performs routine treatments including updrafts, MDI, CPT, incentive spirometry, IPV, patient education, ventilator setup and management.
- Records patient treatments in the eChart system and/or documents in patient charts.
Additional Information :
- Must be fitted for and capable of donning PPE including N95 masks, PAPR, or CAPR.
