The Respiratory Therapist provides respiratory therapy treatment and patient care according to hospital, state, professional, and federal regulations and guidelines.
- Perform diagnostic and therapeutic procedures ordered by a physician
- Obtain and analyze blood specimens, perform patient testing, operate and maintain various types of respiratory and cardiopulmonary equipment, provide mechanical ventilation, maintain artificial airways, provide patient education, monitor equipment and patient response to therapy
- Complete documentation of in-patient and departmental records, clean equipment, and maintain safety and infection control practices
Must possess a current state license in respiratory therapy and prefer two years of hospital experience.
