Job summary

Meadowbrook in Gardner, Kansas, is seeking a Respiratory Care Practitioner to evaluate, recommend, and implement respiratory therapy procedures for pulmonary patients and to ensure quality care within the department.

The RCP will manage equipment and supplies, document all procedures and client interactions, and report any discrepancies to the respiratory therapy supervisor. Kansas registration and BLS certification are required; experience with tracheostomy tubes is preferred.

Qualifications

• Must be registered by the State of Kansas as a respiratory care practitioner.
• Current BLS Certification.
• Previous experience with tracheostomy tubes preferred.

JOB SUMMARY:

The respiratory care practitioner is responsible for the evaluation, recommendation, and procedure implementation of respiratory therapy-related diagnostic and therapeutic procedures as they apply to the pulmonary-compromised client population. The RCP will evaluate and manage all equipment and supplies related to client care and will report any discrepancies, problems, or needs directly to the respiratory therapy supervisor. The RCP is responsible for adequately documenting all performed procedures and client interaction.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Must be currently registered by the State of Kansas as a respiratory care practitioner.
• Current BLS Certification
• Previous experience with tracheostomy tubes preferred.
