Overview

• Department: Respiratory Therapy - PRN

• Schedule: M-F Night Shift, 7pm-7:30am, with rotating holidays and weekends

• Facility: Prime Healthcare St Francis Hospital

• Location: Evanston, IL 60201

Responsibilities

Under the direction of the medical director and cardiopulmonary director/manager, the RCP I is responsible for performing respiratory therapeutic and pulmonary diagnostic procedures as ordered by the physician. Responsibilities include assessment, planning, implementation, and documentation of care, considering age and population-specific needs. In the absence of a supervisor, may be assigned as Lead RCP, responsible for the section or department during their shift.

Qualifications

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING

1. Current State Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) license required.
2. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross (ARC) upon hire and maintained current.
3. Adult Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification from AHA or ARC upon hire and maintained current or obtained within 90 days of hire.
4. Associate Degree or Bachelor of Science degree preferred.
5. High School Diploma or equivalent required.
6. Two (2) years of acute care experience preferred.

St. Francis Hospital offers competitive compensation; the estimated range for this role is $37.26 per hour. The exact starting salary will be determined at hire, based on factors including skillset, experience, education, credentials, and licensure.
