Job Description
(May include but are not limited to the following:)

• Observe and monitor signs, symptoms, general behavior, and general physical response to respiratory care treatment and diagnostic testing to determine whether abnormal characteristics are exhibited.
• Explain procedures to patients and address their concerns professionally and therapeutically.
• Perform duties related to the functioning of the POC testing, quality metrics, and related specimen retrieval.
• Perform baseline pulmonary function screening and weaning parameters.
• Perform pulmonary diagnostic testing, which includes pulmonary screens, ABGs, SpO2, Peak Flows, and oximetry.
• Accurately input data into Allscripts to track procedures, supply charges, and other relevant information.
• Operate, maintain, and repair equipment to ensure proper functioning, cleanliness, and operation.

Education

• AAS from an AMA approved respiratory program
• Bachelor’s Degree preferred
• BLS/ACLS Certification
