Job summary

Select Specialty Hospital NW Detroit, a critical illness recovery hospital in Detroit, is seeking a Respiratory Therapist for PRN night shifts. You will evaluate patients, develop treatment plans, and provide respiratory care for patients with complex medical conditions.

Required NBRC credentials (CRT or RRT), BLS, and state licensure; ACLS upon hire. The role includes a $5,000 sign-on bonus and competitive night/weekend differentials with orientation and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Active CRT or RRT credential from NBRC or state equivalent required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification by start date.
• Current state licensure required; ACLS upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients and recommend an appropriate treatment plan.
• Provide respiratory care to patients with critical and complex conditions.
• Perform insertion and removal of endotracheal tubes.
• Promote continuous quality improvement; teach and counsel patients/families.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Pay: $43.00 per hour

Minimum Requirements

• Must possess "Active" CRT or RRT credential from the National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC) or state equivalent.
• Proof of graduation required: college transcript/diploma (preferred) or high school transcript/diploma or GED.
• Possess a Basic Life Support (BLS) certification by start date.
• Current state licensure is required.
• ACLS is required upon hire. (Agency RT must have ACLS upon first shift)

Preferred Qualifications

• One (1) year of related experience is preferred.
