Respiratory Therapist - Per Diem - Nights

Position Overview: This role involves providing family-centered, age-appropriate cardiopulmonary care, utilizing assessment findings, and collaborating with the healthcare team. Responsibilities include equipment operation, staff precepting, participating in committees and research, and leadership as assigned.

Schedule and Compensation: This is a per diem, night shift, non-exempt position with eligibility for health insurance. Pay ranges from $50.85 to $71.79/hour, based on experience and department equity.

Responsibilities:

1. Ventilator management, high-frequency ventilation, tracheostomy management, bronchoscopy, pulmonary function testing, sedation, blood gases, and calorimetry.
2. Providing primary respiratory care from admission to discharge.
3. Serving as a resource and educator to staff and students.
4. Ensuring safe, cost-effective equipment operation and infection control.

Minimum Qualifications:

• CA RT Licensure
• BLS certification
• PALS certification (within 6 months of hire)

Preferred Qualifications:

• 2 years pediatric experience
• National Registration by the National Board for Respiratory Care
