Job summary

Select Specialty Hospital - Cincinnati Downtown, a facility within the Select Medical family, is seeking a Respiratory Therapist (RT) for night PRN shifts. The RT will provide high-quality respiratory care, evaluate patients, and support critical care needs in a post-ICU setting.

A sign-on bonus and orientation program accompany the role. Qualifications include NBRC CRT/RRT, BLS, state licensure, and ACLS on hire, with a preference for 1 year of related experience.

Qualifications

• Active NBRC CRT or RRT credential.
• Proof of graduation: college transcript/diploma or HS transcript/diploma or GED.
• BLS certification required by start date.
• Current state licensure is required.
• ACLS required upon hire.
• Preferred: 1 year of related experience.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients and recommend an appropriate treatment plan.
• Provide respiratory care to patients with critical and complex medical conditions.
• Perform insertion and removal of endotracheal tubes.
• Promote continuous quality improvement.
• Teach and counsel patients and families.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Overview

Position: Respiratory Therapist (RT)

Location: Cincinnati, OH - Inside of the Christ Hospital)

Schedule: PRN/Per Diem/As Needed - 12 Hour Shifts - Night Shift 7:00p-7:00aCompensation:$45.00 per Hour

Sign On Bonus: $3,750.00

Tier 1 – Three 12 hour shifts per six-week schedule; 1 major holiday: $45.00 + applicable shift diffs.

Tier 2 – Minimum of two 12-hour shifts per week; One major/minor holiday; at least 3 weekend shifts per six-week schedule: $55.00 + applicable shift diffs.

Qualifications

Minimum requirements:

• Must possess "Active" CRT or RRT credential from the National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC) or state equivalent.
• Proof of graduation required: college transcript/diploma (preferred) or high school transcript/diploma or GED.
• Possess a Basic Life Support (BLS) certification by start date.
• Current state licensure is required.
• ACLS is required upon hire. (Agency RT must have ACLS upon first shift)

Preferred qualifications:

• One (1) year of related experience is preferred.
