Job summary

Select Specialty Hospital - Daytona Beach is seeking a Respiratory Therapist (RT/RRT) to work night shifts on a per diem/PRN basis in Daytona Beach. The RT will provide respiratory care to critically ill patients, evaluate treatment plans, and participate in quality improvement initiatives.

Active NBRC CRT/RRT credentials are required, with ACLS and state licensure. BLS is required by start date; one year of related experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Must possess Active NBRC CRT or RRT credential.
• Proof of graduation required: college transcript/diploma preferred.
• BLS certification required by start date.
• Current state licensure is required.
• ACLS is required upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Evaluating patients and recommending an appropriate treatment plan.
• Providing respiratory care to patients with critical and complex medical and surgical conditions.
• Performing insertion and removal of endotracheal tubes.
• Promoting continuous quality improvement.
• Teaching and counseling patients/families.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Overview

Position: Respiratory Therapist (RT/RRT) Night

Location: Daytona Beach

Schedule: Night shift (7p - 7a) - PRN/As Needed

Compensation: $42.00 per hour (Competitive shift differentials for nights and weekends)

Qualifications

Minimum requirements

• Must possess "Active" CRT or RRT credential from the National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC) or state equivalent.
• Proof of graduation required: college transcript/diploma (preferred) or high school transcript/diploma or GED.
• Possess a Basic Life Support (BLS) certification by start date.
• Current state licensure is required.
• ACLS is required upon hire. (Agency RT must have ACLS upon first shift)

Preferred qualifications

• One (1) year of related experience is preferred.
