Job summary

Virtua Health in Cherry Hill, NJ is seeking a Respiratory Therapist for a per diem, part-time on-site role. You will perform patient assessments, develop and implement respiratory care plans, and administer treatments per physician orders, focusing on ventilator and blood gas procedures.

Travel to Voorhees, Washington Township, Cherry Hill, Moorestown and Bordentown is required. Must hold NJ RRT/Registry Eligible with BLS and ACLS. Hourly rate is $50.25 with comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an AMA approved program of study in Respiratory Care with a high school diploma.
• Registered or Registry Eligible as a Respiratory Therapist per NBRC.
• Licensed as a Respiratory Care Practitioner by the NJ State Board.

Responsibilities

• Performs patient assessments and develops individualized respiratory care plans.
• Administers treatments/medications as prescribed by the physician.
• Demonstrates competency in invasive and non-invasive ventilator care.
• Demonstrates competency in Blood Gas Lab procedures and related tests.
• Provides patient and family education on medications and wellness.
• Setup, operates, and maintains medical gas delivery and humidification systems.
• Documents patient care activities in information systems.
