As our most acute level of care, our specialty hospitals provide the same critical care patients receive in a traditional hospital or ICU, but for an extended recovery period. Our clinicians play a vital role in the recovery of chronic, critically ill, and medically complex patients.

As a Respiratory Therapist-SAU, your responsibilities include:

• Planning, implementing, and evaluating diagnostic and therapeutic respiratory services for patients with cardiopulmonary disorders, including technical support for respiratory equipment.
• Providing training and competency testing to nursing staff.
• Providing/coordination of clinical respiratory services under physician orders.
• Performing respiratory assessments and consulting with physicians regarding patient status.
• Monitoring patient progress and updating respiratory care plans accordingly.
• Delivering respiratory therapies such as oxygen, medical gases, aerosols, humidification, and suction.
• Educating patients and families about diseases, medications, equipment, procedures, benefits, risks, and alternatives.

Pay Range: $29.13-$44.30

Qualifications:

• Associate Degree from an accredited respiratory therapy program.
• Licensing as required by state law.
• Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) preferred; RRT required for supervisory roles.
• At least one year of general respiratory therapy clinical experience.
