Job summary

Select Specialty Hospital in Saginaw, MI is hiring a Respiratory Therapist (RT) for per diem/PRN coverage. The RT will assess patients, develop and implement respiratory care plans, and work under the supervision of the care team.

Responsibilities include evaluating patients, promoting evidence-based treatments, assisting with endotracheal tube management, and educating patients and families. A strong NBRC credential, BLS, state license, and ACLS by hire are required.

Qualifications

• Active NBRC credential (CRT or RRT) is required.
• BLS certification required by start date.
• Current state licensure is required.
• ACLS certification required upon hire.

• Providing respiratory care to patients with critical and complex medical conditions.
• Performing insertion and removal of endotracheal tubes.
• Promoting continuous quality improvement.

Compensation: $43.00 per hour

Sign On Bonus: $5,000.00

Minimum Requirements

• Must possess "Active" CRT or RRT credential from the National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC) or state equivalent.
• Proof of graduation required: college transcript/diploma (preferred) or high school transcript/diploma or GED.
• Possess a Basic Life Support (BLS) certification by start date.
• Current state licensure is required.
• ACLS is required upon hire. (Agency RT must have ACLS upon first shift)

Preferred Qualifications

• One (1) year of related experience is preferred.
