Job summary

Select Specialty Hospital - Orlando Central in Orlando, FL is seeking a Respiratory Therapist (RT) for Per Diem/PRN Day Shift to provide compassionate, high-quality respiratory care to critically ill patients.

You will evaluate patients, develop treatment plans, manage airway needs, and support families while contributing to ongoing quality improvement and patient education. ACLS is required on hire; BLS and state licensure are also mandatory.

Qualifications

• Active CRT or RRT credential from NBRC or state.
• BLS certification required by start date.
• Current state licensure required.
• ACLS required upon hire.
• One year of related experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Evaluating patients and recommending an appropriate treatment plan.
• Providing respiratory care to patients with critical and complex medical and surgical conditions.
• Performing insertion and removal of endotracheal tubes.
• Promoting continuous quality improvement.
• Teaching and counseling patients/families.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Position: Respiratory Therapist (RT) - Per Diem/ PRN

Location: Orlando, FL

Schedule: Per Diem- Day Shift

Pay Rate: $40.00 per hour plus shift differential

Responsibilities

Qualifications

Minimum requirements:

• Must possess "Active" CRT or RRT credential from the National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC) or state equivalent.
• Possess a Basic Life Support (BLS) certification by start date.
• Current state licensure is required.
• ACLS is required upon hire. (Agency RT must have ACLS upon first shift)

Preferred qualifications:

• One (1) year of related experience is preferred.
