Job summary

Select Specialty Hospital - Daytona Beach is seeking a Respiratory Therapist to join our night shift team. You will provide critical respiratory care to patients on complex post-ICU recovery in a compassionate setting.

Responsibilities include evaluating patients, managing endotracheal tubes, promoting quality care, and educating families. Active NBRC credentials and BLS are required, ACLS on hire, with licensure current.

Qualifications

• Active CRT or RRT credential from NBRC or state equivalent.
• Proof of graduation required: diploma, transcript, or GED.
• BLS certification by start date; ACLS required on hire.
• Current state licensure as a Respiratory Therapist.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients and plan appropriate respiratory care.
• Provide respiratory care for critically ill or post‑ICU patients.
• Insert and remove endotracheal tubes as needed.
• Promote continuous quality improvement in care.
• Teach and counsel patients and families.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Location: Select Specialty Hospital - Daytona Beach

Schedule: Night Shift - 12 hour shifts

Every Thursday & PTO/Vacation Coverage

Compensation: $42.00 per hour (Competitive shift differentials for nights and weekends)

• Providing respiratory care to patients with critical and complex medical and surgical conditions.
• Performing insertion and removal of endotracheal tubes.
• Promoting continuous quality improvement.
• Teaching and counseling patients/families.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Minimum requirements:

• Must possess "Active" CRT or RRT credential from the National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC) or state equivalent.
• Proof of graduation required: college transcript/diploma (preferred) or high school transcript/diploma or GED.
• Possess a Basic Life Support (BLS) certification by start date.Current state licensure is required.
• ACLS is required upon hire. (Agency RT must have ACLS upon first shift)

Preferred qualifications:

• One (1) year of related experience is preferred.
