Role Overview

Provides respiratory care by assessing patient needs, planning, performing, and evaluating treatments. Ensures thorough patient assessments, develops care plans, and communicates effectively with the healthcare team. Performs routine therapies such as aerosolized medications, oxygen therapy, secretion management, and manages artificial airways.

Key Responsibilities

Initiates and manages mechanical ventilators, provides patient and family education, assists with intra-hospital transport, manages emergent airway situations, and collects arterial blood gases. Supports fiberoptic bronchoscopy and invasive line placement, adhering to safety and regulatory standards.

Qualifications & Skills

Requires respiratory therapist experience and graduation from a specialty training program. Knowledge of evidence-based practices, protocol-driven care, and state-of-the‑art equipment. Strong communication, teamwork, and adherence to safety regulations are essential.
