Job summary

Griffin Hospital in Derby, CT is seeking a Respiratory Therapist to join the Respiratory Services team. Under the supervision of the Director, Respiratory Services, you will set up and operate respiratory care equipment for diagnosis, treatment, and sleep lab work, contributing to pulmonary rehab programs.

The ideal candidate will hold an AS in Respiratory Therapy (bachelor's preferred), be a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) with at least one year of clinical experience, and possess BLS

Qualifications

• RRT required.
• 1 year clinical experience.
• BLS required; ACLS preferred.
• RPFT, AE-C, NRP desirable.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate respiratory care equipment for diagnosis and treatment.
• Assist in the sleep lab and pulmonary rehab activities.

MAIN FUNCTION: Under the supervision of the Director, Respiratory Services and upon request of the physician, sets up and operates various types of respiratory care equipment to be utilized in the diagnosis and treatment of respiratory disease and/or illness, as well as the operation of the sleep lab.This is for pulmonary rehab.

EDUCATION: AS degree in Respiratory Therapy, Bachelors preferred

EXPERIENCE: RRT required; 1 year clinical experience required; BLS required, ACLS preferred; RPFT, AE-C, NRP desirable.
